MCR Safety: Nextgen
PPE Product Launch Marketing Campaign
The next gen of MCR Safety protective equipment needed a proper go-to market campaign. My two-phase approach did the trick — and we even brought home an award for the campaign.

the strategy
When MCR Safety approached me about helping them launch their new product line “NextGen”, which redefined their products to be more Earth-conscious — I knew it could be a cool one. I had no idea just how much creative freedom MCR would give me.
Me and the incredible talented Maddie Otto (Social Media/Digital Marketing Extraordinaire), decided to try something a little different than anything MCR had done before. We really wanted to bring the NextGen concept to life through 3 phases.
Phase 1 — Incoming Transmission.
Phase 2 — Contact.
We thought that advertising this next generation of product, which really revolutionized the whole glove-making process, could be a little more futuristic and sci-fi than MCR Safety’s traditional “Built-Ford-Tough” tone.
In the Incoming Transition Phase, we only showed products as holographic animations/static images. The focus needed to be on the process > product > with the goal of protecting the planet, so this felt like it worked well. We did several teasers and countdowns with star textures, glows, and all the sci-fi audio samples we could find.
For the Contact Phase, we then revealed how the products actually looked with bright lens flares — my nod to JJ Abrams.
The campaign performed really well, and we were even lucky enough to bring home a 2020 MarCom Gold Award for the email in the campaign.
